Mindi K. Bagnall was born and raised in Southwestern Michigan, graduating from White Pigeon High School in 1982. She lived in San Diego, California as well as York, Pennsylvania before moving back to Michigan in 2000. Mindi has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Western Michigan University. While at WMU, she studied with Lou Rizzolo, John Link and Paul Mergen.
Mindi is the Registrar of Exhibitions in the Frostic School of Art at WMU. She is also the curator of the WMU University Art Collection. She has taught art classes at WMU and currently teaches a graphic design class dealing with the creative process at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
Mindi runs MKB Art Studio at the Park Trades Center in Kalamazoo, where she exhibits her work and also gives private art lessons. Her studio is open for the Kalamazoo Art Hops, the first Friday of the month, from 5 to 9pm.
Mindi has two young daughters who frequently serve as models for her work.
